Logline: It is nineteenth century colonial India. On the cusp of manhood, a half -Indian, half–English youth, MANU, finds only rejection and cruelty within the world of men. Possessing a remarkable ability to communicate with nature, Manu forms an intense bond with RAJA, a holy elephant residing at the local temple. Considered sullied by her exposure to a low –caste youth such as Manu, Raja is sold into slavery, a victim of man’s prejudice. Freed by Manu, the youth and his elephant friend embark upon a journey across India’s vast wilderness to search out Manu’s long-lost father, an adventure that will forge an unbreakable bond of love and shape a boy into a man…
